I never said "water-boarding" was a pleasant experience. I don't need to try it either and take your word for it that it must be painful. Let's just say its less painful and less permanent than chopping off limbs or be-headings.

On religion: I think we can all agree that any religion shouldn't always be followed to the letter when it commands us to kill. All religions have good morals and values to impart that most people choose to disregard.

Guantanamo Bay is very different from Abu Ghraib in that Guantanamo was built to be visible, accessible by human rights groups and better monitor the behavior of prisoners and guards. Abu Ghraib was more of a traditional prison that was hidden, abusive, unchecked, crowded and a real health hazard.

This of course doesn't make Guantanamo a picnic, just a better and cleaner facility. You say "camps such as Guantanamo"... Are there more of such camps? I am not aware on any other camps modelled after Guantanamo but if you are, please send us a link with some information (...and this time please hold the gratuitous personal insults and death threats, OK?).

PS: Re-published are the rules and guidelines to follow when making a post:

Welcome to my blog. This blog is moderated by me (the

speech, threats and the like will be either edited for content or
completely removed. My intent is to generate some high level
discussions, exercise critical thinking skills, learn neutrality and
achieve enlightenment - all in the spirit of good fun.

Comment on SPANISH INQUISITION RETARDED?

You sir, are... (INSULT). Do you think for a second that music torture and water torture is all that went on - and still goes on in camps such as guantanamo? Seriously go f... yourself. yeh sharia law is kinda strict but how many American muslims do you know who follow them to the letter? it's just the same as Christianity; religion has become so watered down that it will cease to thrive within this millenium. oh. did i mention your seed should be wiped from this earth in an incredibly painful way? (THREAT). by the way. try water torture some time... you might not find it incredibly pleasant

Comment on OBAMA BORN IN AFRICA?

From World Net Dailey 5/25/09

Revealed: 'The Obama birth certificate protection act'?
A bill approved by the House of Representatives and referred to the Senate would prohibit federal employees of executive branch from being compelled to release any document unless a court makes a specified determination by a preponderance of evidence – legislation at least one group suspects is designed to protect Barack Obama's elusive birth certificate from release.

Comment on SUSAN BOYLE KNOCKS 'EM DEAD!

She left me teary eyed after watching this clip. Maybe get all the anti-gun crowd involved. I'm sure there are plenty of guns, ammunition, knives, and who knows what else in those camps.

The citizens who live near those camps hear the guns going off all the time and they are afraid.

I suppose an Islamic flag doesn't scare them as much as a Confederate flag does.

Comment on WELCOME

Great blog, with a nice diversity of issues.

</rdf:RDF>
